I. Greeting:
-Ask Ss some questions.


II. Warm up:
-Say hello to the class and introduce yourself. Ask ss to say hello or hi, Mr/ Mrs......
-Walk around the class and do that a few times.
III. New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat.
-Have ss turn their books to page 6. Ask ss the names of the characters and what they say.
- Tell Ss they are going to hear Mai and Nam greet each other.
- Open the tape ( Twice).
- Open and stop at each sentence.
- Ask ss to read in chorus.
- Read in pairs.
- Call some pairs to check.
- Correct pronounciation.
- Note: The differences between Hi and Hello.
Hi is very infomal, Ss can use with friends but not with an adult. but Hello is also informal and friendly but more formal than Hi. It can be used with teachers and other adults.
2. Look and say.
-Ask ss to look at the book.
-Aks ss to work in pairs to speak about 4 friends.
- Call some pairs to practise ( other observe and give comments
- Correct the pronunciation.
- Ask the whole class to repeat the sentences in chorus.
IV. Consolidation:
-Call ss go to the board and practice the way to introduce yourself.
